Re: Fingerprinting of LMTs now required in Florida

The new requirement is basically in response to the two LMTs who were convicted last year of sexually molesting their clients. I guess they felt they "had" to do something and this is the something they came up with. If you want to blame someone, blame the vile men who violated their clients.

Hi Pueppi! Sorry, I missed your question to me. Going through the video: at about 40 seconds in, this reminds me of myofascial unwinding 1:13 makes me think Thai 1:34 again Thai 1:40 Thai There were other clips that caught my attention but they were too quick for me to be sure exactly what was going...

Re: Fascial Stretch Technique vs. Active Isolated Stretching

I really don't know that answer to your questions but I did take a quick look at their website. $2000 is a lot of money for a 5 day class. I watched their video and some of the techniques they were using are very similar to John Barnes MF unwinding and some are the same that I use for Thai massage. ...

So far the only suggestion I have found is to change your email address to a "junk" email. Sorry, but we have all looked into this and can find no reason why you are receiving the emails.

Hello Muriel,

You should not be getting these notices as you are no longer in the admin group. I will check with Josh to see what can be done.

I've never heard of them but if that is your 1st potential client calling......well, I don't think I'd want any clients that they have to send to you.

I second the suggestion to call and ask the spa. You can call them anonymously and just tell them that you are considering booking to save you any embarrassment.

I honestly have no idea but then again, I've never worked in a spa.

Re: The Holidays are here. What's your claim to fame?

Well, it's not really my claim to fame since it's my Grandmother's recipe but I always have to make the dressing for Thanksgiving. There is no written recipe. My Mom learned how to make it by helping my Grandmother fix it and I learned from helping her. It has bread of course. We like to use stale b...

Hmmmm I don't know if I've ever kneeled on the table before? It's not something I do on a regular basis. I have sat on it before but not often. Mine is a wooden table, not a metal one. No issues with squeaking. I'm sure since mine is so old, that the newer models are much different than the one I ha...

I accept every body that gets on my table no matter what. Hairy, overweight, moles are all a part of the person and we should respect them. Yes, we may have to make certain changes depending on the client but we should never judge or think a client is "disgusting" because their body is different tha...

Exactly where on the foot is the pain? Is it a constant pain? When/where/how of the pain can give you clues as to how to treat.

My understanding and I could be wrong, is that she possibly has an "adult entertainment massage" license not a "therapeutic massage" license. Why in the world GA would issue adult entertainment licenses is beyond me?

Re: Finding the psoas

You're not going to feel a "clear pop" with every client. It depends on the size of the client and the condition of their psoas. You should however feel something when you are on the psoas but for some clients it's just a small tightening not a pop.

I do massage at 3-6 triathlons a year and in my experience it is rare for someone to want a massage pre-event. I will sometimes do a little stretching or taping but for the most part the athletes are concerned about their race. I do however do a lot of post-race massaging. Did you stick around for a...

When I am going to keep my oils in the fridge for fear of spoilage, I keep the large container in the fridge but keep an 8oz or so bottle in the cupboard so it's not cold when I'm ready to massage.
