Re: Whelp, lost a client today...

Marty - Sounds to me like the universe is telling you that you've got a case of burn out! As practitioners we all have clients that have the "fast food" mentality when it comes to their version of health. They often have the drive through window approach, and come through so they can get that fixer ...

Thank you for the research you've done Marion. I appreciate it - though as I mentioned this has apparently occurred to a number of people that I know & I'm not quite sure what has actually happened as yet. I'm still trying to get this resolved. I have reported that my account was compromised - thoug...

No it was FB - in response to my correspondence with them. They need to know that it's really you, as it's a security thing, so that they aren't providing access to your account otherwise. Believe me I'm very cautious about revealing info when it comes to phishing attempts! _________________________...

Facebook Hacked?

For anyone I may have been in contact with via FB, it appears as though my account and those of many others I know have been compromised. You may want to check your own accounts and those of your friends. Any correspondence you may have had from others may have been marked as abusive or spam, and th...

Re: How to talk to massage therapist?

Everyone has given you good advice. Any MT who has been in business for any length of time has had clients with a history of all sorts of trauma. We are all human beings who have had life experiences, and as such we understand that the body holds memory, even if it's not held in the conscious mind. ...

Just a few thoughts, as it may be more is going on beyond the skin sensitivities. You may want to have her cortisol/inflammation levels checked out, as well as her acid/alkaline levels. When they're high we are more "reactive" and sensitive to many things. Check out a functional medicine/naturopathi...

If her lotion had many unpronounceable ingredients, chances are it was loaded with chemicals & preservatives, which as a practitioner & a client I'd have been loath to have on my body too! Many MTs don't really take the time to look into what is in their products, much less the long term effects it ...

Re: Rude Massage Therapist

Certainly bringing up the oil preference, in advance - such as when you made the appointment, would have been the best approach. As a practitioner, I would also have been concerned about the ingredients - due to the potential of ruining sheets, etc. and even more so if it was something I may have be...

Re: Vaccine Hysteria on the Rise

Per Dr. Sherri Tenpenny, Public Health should be much more than high vaccination rates and a low incidence of a short list of communicable diseases. The overall, long term health of those who are vaccinated should be part of the cost of the "vaccine program." Certainly, unvaccinated are healthier an...

Thank you pueppi for repeating the important part of the post I made! Another consideration besides essential oils, is to look up acupressure points that can help. Staying on topic, at least a related one: The entire vaccination issue is a huge topic, on which many of us will have to agree to disagree, but a discourse on it with facts is crucial, industry spin is exactly that, & is meant to add to their profit margin, whether it's at the cost of human health &...

You can always make use of essential oils, as well as acupressure. For more on essential oils that can help, go online & research further, or stop in at your local healthfood store. There are a number of single oils, as well as great blends you can purchase. Generally speaking Eucalyptus & or Ravins...
