I am also one that started on my own. I worked at a spa to see what it was like. Although I enjoyed it, I really prefer to have control of what I do and plus the pay is much better on my own. So, it goes to say that I only lasted four months at a spa.

Fill the bowl at least half full, and make sure that it doesn't evaporate. If you let it dry out, iit will scorch the essential oils and smell terrible. Some essential oils will smell a lot stronger than others. You just have to experiment to find out what you like best. just thought i should add t...

if there is a lot of wax in the towel, i wouldn't recommend washing the towel at home. the wax could cause clogs.

Perhaps what you had in that little tube had gone rancid. If it still smells inside the tube, it is because the smell has been absorbed into the plastic. Polyethylene plastics will absorb odors while Polypropylene will not.

Are you looking for a color block or liquid dye for the candles? Crayons can clog the wick. Buying supplies at the craft stores will cost you lots of $$$. I can refer you to a source if you'd like.

Have you ever thought that maybe it is something the client used that you are allergic to? I have noticed that with certain clients, I always get real itchy after I massage them. Luckily for me, those clients do not come in often.. only about once every three months. I think it is the perfume/cologn...

soapsafe fragrance oils are not necessarily always safe to be used in other applications such as oils and lotions. In soap, the FO will not stay on your skin since your skin will be rinsed off. With lotion and oil, you don't rinse off. i have sensitive skin, so everything effects me, but other peopl...

Another thing you can do is make a cocoa butter massage cream. Regular cocoa butter smells like chocolate. But since cocoa butter is quite hard, you'd have to melt it down and mix some oils with it to soften it up.

if you are using a jar candle on a candlewarmer, that candle is no longer meant to be burned. if you have the big dip in the middle after the candle has cooled down, most likely it is a paraffin candle. Many candles require a repour after the initial pour has cooled down in order for it to have a sm...

i was pregnant during the winter with my first child and always felt hot. i was pregnant with my second child during the summer and, once again, always felt hot.

If it's really cold outside, i would say it would be nice to lay on a prewarmed table, but i wouldn't want it on the whole time.

I have been practicing elbows on the Erector Spinae on my husband...experimenting and I find the backside of the elbow better (rather than the front or mid point).
