Reflexology and Pregnancy

I have been a Reflexologist for several years. However, I now have my first high-risk pregnancy clients. I have taken an on-line course and have read everything I can get my hands on. I would appreciate any and all suggestions, etc. Also the best way to treat hemorrhoids. I use only Lavender EO, as ...

Plantar Fibroma - He is a 26-year-old male that has had multiple surgeries (sigh) on the bottom of both feet for Plantar Fibromas. The poor guys feet are horribly ...

Re: Reflexology - Black feet

Just an update - since I started this post, I have now had 3 clients that develop black feet and/or black spots on their feet the day following their reflexology session. I've decided it must be part of the detox process.....

Her arms are always in the same position - relaxed and in her lap.

Numb Arms

Hello to all - haven't been on here in awhile. My business is building and between practice and research - have been very busy. My question - I've had a client for a couple of years. She was exposed to formaldehyde and asbestos as a child in their housing and so has liver and lymph issues (swollen l...

Re: Reflexology - Black feet

In reply to "dirty feet" and oil I used. The client had been to another reflexologist and her feet also turned black when he did her feet.
Also, she never, ever goes w/o her shoes and socks.

Reflexology - Black feet

Hi to all -- I have recently done two clients that have had the same result: 1) Recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She woke up the morning after her Reflexology session and the bottoms of her feet, around the edges of her heels where black. 2) One week later - did a client. She texted me that th...

Re: Aromatherapy courses

I also have been researching for an on-line Aromatherapy course. However, I don't necessarily need certification. I would simply like a course for EO uses, cautions, etc. General knowledge for my use as a Reflexologist. Any ideas??? I want to go beyond what I can read generally on the internet, but ...

Re: Question about Inflammatory Disease

I researched Aromatherapy for Inflammatory and Heli and Clove was what they said to use. However, it may be as you said too strong of a dermal irritant. I put only 2 drops in quite a bit carrier oil. She tolerated it very well. I will talk to her about shorter sessions. She insists on coming every w...

Question about Inflammatory Disease

I thought I posted this earlier, but can't find it. I have a client with a serious inflammatory disease, which has shown up in her spinal fluid and her brain. It has affected her eyes in a Palsy manner and has led to a biopsy on one compressed eyeball. I treated her last with with emphasis on eyes, ...

Re: Reference Material to Work for Specific Disordes/Diseases

What I would like to find is a brief reference guide to which parts of the body related to which emotions. Some I know (still in R school), but some I don't.

Does anyone know of one or can send me a list?
Thanks

Re: Single therapist with 2 clients at once?

I have a thought. I'm still in R school. As part of it I interviewed another Reflexologist that has been in practice for many years. She related to me a session she had where the wife sat in (and talked incessently(sp?)). The mixed energy didn't allow her to ground properly and she ended up having t...

Re: is reflexology supposed to hurt?

There are two completely different school of thought, and believe me, they do not agree with one another one bit.

I am about to graduate from Reflexology school and they are in complete disagreement.
