I had to lol at this. I am always telling my daughter that I am the murderer of hope and dreams, and love since we don't let her date.
I would just say my peace, and distance myself from the situation.

Re: Mastrubating Client???

Personally, I would have knocked on the door upon hearing those sounds and asked (through the door) if everything was ok. I second that. Does he have his next appointment scheduled? If he does (if it were me) I'd probably call him, and tell him that after his last session I heard some noises coming...

Re: What is your split at the spa (or IC situation)?

naturalhealing, can you say what your flat rate is and how the resort prices their massages? The flat rate for a one hour massage is $40 which is half of the guest rate and more than half of the member rate. On hot stones, they charge $130 and we get $75. So it just varies, treatments with more set...

Re: What is your split at the spa (or IC situation)?

I get a flat rate per service where I work part time. This is at a resort/club. This works well because members get one price and guests another ect.. I always know what I am getting. If you do a percentage decide how you will handle any promotions or discounts. MT's do not want to make less because...

Re: Are you *required* to bleach your linens?

To me that reads use clean water to wash your sheets, most tap water is chlorinated if you live in a city. Does it say add bleach, or certain ratios. I would add one teeny tiny drop. Also who is checking? Does your state board inspect?

I did house cleaning, worked at a B&B where I learned how to cook, cooked in several restaurants, waited tables, picked lettuce, and worked as a gardeners helper.

Re: Selling yourself and pre-booking

I let people know what I "found" tight spots knots ect... Then I recommend when I think they should come back, and say "would you like to set up a time to do that now?" I would say about 75% of people do rebook the other 25% say they will call, and some do. I also discuss different options such as w...

... if $100 is too expensive, then theres a bigger problem to be addressed. That may be, but we all have to start somewhere. I know a hundred dollars was a lot of money to put into my office for a whole lot of years. If someone has bills out the wazoo or extenuating circumstance and is building the...

Re: Chiros Hiring Nail Techs for Massage. LEGAL???

My guess would be that most Chiropractor's are aware of and follow their state laws. I just really can't see a DC who worked hard for their Doctorate risking their license over something so small. However the STATE BOARD in YOUR state would probably be the place to start.

Re: Chiropractor leaves the office

Can anyone direct me to any legal statements or documenting about the penalties for a Chiro leaving their office while forcing staff to remain and see patients. They leave 3-4 hours early and have the staff hook up patients to stim and receive massage. Is this legal? I would call your state chiropr...

Re: Dear spouses and partners: (Letter from the spa)

I've had some interesting experiences doing housecalls and being the "surprise." It's always worked out ok, but I think it would be better to say the MT will be here in 30 min. I showed up at one house and it was and older man who thought his kids were coming for his birthday. He did like the massag...
