That's a lot of money if you aren't an aesthetician. It takes more than buying expensive equipment and products to give a facial.

If you have "an idea" of what you want to do, start by adding ONE thing to your menu, something simple that will get you started. Add additional options once you have had a chance to think them through (and test them on willing subjects). With that kind of up-front expense, you need to start making it pay for itself ASAP.

Jason - just the basics in Esthetic Equipment is costly (not to mention product)...a business owner would spend a couple thousand just to set up a room without even touching the more advanced equipment.
A professional microdermabrasion machine alone is $3k-$10K. I purchased ONE piece of equipment this year at $4k
This aspect of the spa biz is not for the faint of heart and requires a lot of planning, research and investment.
Since this is a bodywork forum I would suggest the OP go to an esthetic forum or day spa business owners forum for more insight and discussion

You have never offered facials before at your establishment.
Success in skin care is all about getting people on a program. Facials every 4- 8 week, daily regimine of cleanse, exfoliate, tone, moisturize using the same product line that is used in the facials.
You are asking clients to take a leap of faith both on your service offering and on an unknown product line. That is asking a lot.
Try offering facials with a high-end, established product line for a few years. When you establish your credibility with your clients that your spa offers serious skin care, then you can tell them you created your own line to support this mission. but then those products better outperform what you have been selling them until then -- which is a tall order for most private label products
New to skin care + private label is a long shot at success IMHO
