Needing help with a CL's issue

Postby alwayslearning on Mon Sep 30, 2013 5:26 am

Hi there! I'm a new Massage Therapist. I have a CL who is having foot pain. He isn't having any shortening of the ligaments. Just pain in his foot. I have tried general massage, and myofascial release on the arch. I'm beginning to think he has just severely bruised it. Does anyone have any technique suggestions that I might be able to implement to help my client?

Thank you for taking the time to read my question.

Soften, strip and trigger point: tibialus anterior, posterior, peroneus's, gastroc, soleus. I've done that before touching the foot itself and the client was surprised her foot pain disappeared.

Exactly where on the foot is the pain? Is it a constant pain? When/where/how of the pain can give you clues as to how to treat.
