You can't think away emotional energy blocks

Postby JinShinDOH! on Mon Dec 31, 2007 10:36 am

I wanted to share some important information about emotional release/energy release for those of you who need this information. We all know the the first law of thermodynamics, “Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only be converted from one form to another and stored". The word emotion means "energy in motion". We feel examples of this when we have a lump in our throat or a pain in our hearts. This is an example of stored emotional energy. While some talk therapy sessions may work to help a person see a different perspective, thus altering their regard of a particular situation, unless there is active release of the emotional energy it will remain. And the only way to do that is to feel the emotion and release it. Dr. Walter Weston wrote a very simple book with a technique he developed called ERT, Emotional Release Technique. I use this technique any time I am feeling yucky and it works very well for me and many others who I have shared this with.

There are so many forms of energy work out there. Reiki is just the tip of the iceburg when it comes to energy work. I personally have experienced and studied several forms including Reiki, Vortex Healing, Pranic Healing, Quantum Touch Technique, The Reconnection, Barbara Brennan Healing Science, Thai Chi, JinShinDo Acupressure etc. So many amazing experiences with each, even Reiki, which is a technique that I have long regarded as well, kinda lame. No offense to you reiki practitioners- it turns me off but I have recieved attunments (kundalini Reiki) and treatments trying to understand it. I guess it's the "master" designation ( I know, I know it's japanese culture!) and well, anyway, I wont go on with this. Personally I enjoy pranic energy work. It is very grounding and amplifying to my own energy system- it's not like I am "giving" the recipient energy, I am just amplifying my own energy body and the recipient vibrates with my efforts.

And I also want to add that when I began my massage training I wasn't really into energy work, I didn't know much at all about it and I also did not understand how emotional trauma effects the physical body, but I did have an open mind. it took awhile for these ideas to fit together and I began to notice patterns with my clientele. Like for instance a certain core emotional state was associated with a certain illness and this was more of a rule than an exception. Fascinating. ok Happy New Year Speak no Evil, Hear no Evil, See no Evil, Eat no Evil

Would you speak a little about your experience with Vortex work? I have heard of it, but not experienced it or looked into it much.

Josh-
well, my experience with vortex is limited. this is the newest form of energy work I have explored. My experience with it may not be the best example to guide you because I had a very strange experience with a woman who I would say is very strange. This practitioner is a Reiki with Angels energy worker and she is also trained in Vortex. I went to her for Vortex and I think I got quite a mix and then also her own personal world view and interpretation. She was late to the appointment, came in very flustered and then rather than immediately take me to the treatment room she chatted with her business partner about the weather or something else equally unimportant. She was very frantic and didn't seem to know what was going on, I wondered if she would be able to do a session. When I finally did get on the table, I was laying down for about 20 minutes before she said we were done. During that 20 minutes I did have a very light sensation of energy trailing up and down my legs. And that was it. She told me that I have alien implants from this life and past life times and that my chakra system was the worst she had ever seen. and then she asked me for $50 and hardly even said goodbye to me. what a strange woman! Well, I don't think I will ever return to her for a session, but I won't let her wacky ways keep me from further studying Vortex Healing. After I left the session I did notice a general sense of peace/wellbeing and that colors were more vibrant. I later phoned a Vortex teacher to talk about what I experienced and she was very diplomatic and assured me that Vortex Healing was worth further inquiry, and I agree.

Oh, none taken. LOL

Just an FYI, in a Reiki session if one is properly taught, the energy NEVER comes from the practitioner but from the Universe. Hence Rei: "Universal". There is active breathing and visualization and all sorts of things going on. Not just a drawing of nummie hippy dippy trippy symbols. Although I have come across a lot of Reiki (and other energy) students that have not had the best teachers and so don't have a clue what Reiki is or what they are doing. They just paid their fee and that was all that the teacher really cared about.
(sorry to be blunt folks, but it is what it is, unfortunately)

I've studied eleventeen energy modalities through the years and they all use the same Universal source of healing energy, just use a different dance to get there.

I also agree with you in that all illness comes from the emotional body first.

I've met many folks who have had Reiki sessions, and it just didn't "do it" for them. To each his or her own. It will depend on the level and type of training, the practitioner's ability to channel the energy, and the place that the recipient is in in their lives. For myself, I received one Reiki session that turned my life upside down, saved my life, and put me into the field of massage therapy. Now, at age 31, I feel like I'm finally, actually living. I'm still waiting for the Universe to provide a way for me to receive the Level 1 attunement from someone whom I trust (or comes recommended by someone I trust), at a price that is reasonable.

Anyone in NC willing to teach me? LOL.

Anyway, back to the original topic - I'm absolutely fascinated by all kinds of energy work, so I hope Jinshindoh will elaborate on the ones that she is familiar with.
