Hi Belavi/Bellanina/returning back injury

Postby Raya Yolon on Sun Apr 12, 2009 10:01 pm

Saw some interesting posts and was incouraged because I too have wanted to do the homestudy course for awhile.
I am returning to work after a back injury and need a light duty technique I can feel confident about and love the face!
Does anyone have an idea? Doesn't have to contain CEUs, can take that later when my practice builds up.
Does anyone have their old Belavi home study tapes for sale?
I could buy it later and be official when I could afford it.thanks
and blessings

Welcome to the forums! Here are a few ideas:

1. You could post in In Search Of & Want to Buy that you are looking for the the Belavi Homestudy Course to purchase or other facelift massage DVD's/videos.

2. Consider poking around on You Tube for "facial massage" to pick up some other ideas.

3. Look around the internet for other DVD/Video titles and then also add those to your "Want to Buy" post. It may bring someone to the forum who is googling and runs across your post that way, maybe giving you the chance to eventually get those items. BWOL seems to be linked all over google nowdays. :)

Here's a list of some other "facelift" DVD/videos I saw on the net. I am sure there are more, but I only had time for a limited search.
  • The Art of Cool Lift Massage ---> see my PM to you in your PM box (Read PM's here by clicking on messages near your log out button at top of screen)
  • Indian Face (Facelift) Massage
  • Unique Technique Rejuvenating Facelift Massage
  • Shiatsu (Advanced Oriental Facial Massage)
  • Ayurvedic Face Rejuvenation
  • Bellanina (R) Facelift Massage Professional Treatment Instructional Kit
  • This site has a link to some other "facial massage videos you may be interested in: Facial Massage Videos
  • Acupressure Massage - DVD --> this dvd seems to have a chapter on Acupressure Facelift Massage
  • *There were also at least three VHS series (don't know if they were ever made in DVD) made by Shogo Mochizuki. Japanese facial massage is also known as "Kobido aka Ko Bi Do", from what I can find... so you may be able to do some searches on that as well.

    • Japanese Facial Massage (2 VHS tapes and 137 page manual)
    • Advanced Japanese Facial Massage (2 VHS tapes and 120 page manual)
    • Shiatsu Facelift (2 VHS tapes and 131 page manual)
On an interesting note: Dr. Shogo Mochizuki had sort of disappeared for a while and much of his work was no longer avaliable. Here's the good news! While doing your search today, I ran across this site ( http://web.mac.com/drshogo/japanesemassage/welcome.html ) for Shogo Mochizuki which seems to be selling some of his items and stating the following very cool information!
Welcome to japaneseMassage.com. Please excuse the mess as we are currently updating our website. In the future, you will be able to preview books and video on this site. Many books and DVDs are currently available with more on the way!

Dr. Shogo Mochizuki is planning on re-recording many videos in High Definition. Look for them soon.

Also, Dr. Mochizuki’s teaching schedule for this fall will be posted on this site shortly. Please visit us again soon for updates. We thank you for your support of japaneseMassage.com.

4. Search e-bay or half.com, once you have some titles or type in "facelift massage" or face lift massage" and see if you can locate a DVD/video there. On a quick trip to e-bay this came up (maybe there are also others): "Cool Lift Face Massage DVD Use Hot & Cold Marble Stones"

5. And, this older thread on BWOL has someone who may be interested in selling you the "Unique Technique Rejuvenating Facelift Massage"? -- Someone asked for it, someone responded, but the person who asked had already purchased the video somewhere else. So it may still be out there waiting for you. :) Does anyone have a Face Lift Video they want to sell?...

Hello!

I am also a licensed esthetician as well as a massage therapist - and IMO, it is VERY difficult to get ANY takers for this type of treatment...unless you are giving it away! It's really more of an "add-on" or added value service for a facial.

I have training in lymphatic drainage and also Lypossage - there are facial protocols for both - and have had ZERO sessions for either as a stand alone. But - maybe your area is different or perhaps you are a master marketer!

If you are looking to stay with bodywork you might want to look into Cranio-Sacral Therapy training as an option

As a side note to squash_blsm's post above, I have had one client ask me specifically for facial rejuvination / face-lift massage but I had to refer her to someone else I know who does that.

She is the only one I have ever had ask... but I mention it, because at least in my practice I had someone ask for it.
