Thank you for the compliment. I have no design back ground and i didn't want the site to look "homemade". I really like it.

Here is my most current website~

http://www.premosbarberspa.webs.com

Free service (though you can pay for more fancier upgrades) and I did it all myself!

Please PM me with any info you have as to what I could do to improve the look, feel or fluidity of the website. It's still in its infancy!

Hi, everyone! I think the last time I posted on this site, I was still in massage school (and going by the username "soulfulmassage," which has now been changed to "redlotus" to match my business).

I graduated from Cortiva-Boston last summer and am finally launching my own part-time practice, and I'd love to get other people's feedback on my new website! The URL is http://www.redlotusmassage.com, and you'll see that it's still a work in progress. Rather than paying someone else to design it for me, I've been teaching myself XHTML and CSS and created my site from scratch using Notepad. I think it's not bad for someone who's not a professional web designer, but I'd love to hear other's thoughts on both the content and design.

Thanks in advance for your constructive criticism, and I just want to say again what an invaluable resource this board is - I was extremely glad to find it when I was first starting school, and I'm even more grateful for this site and great community of fellow MTs and bodyworkers now that I'm finally going into business for myself!

So no one here has any feedback on my website (http://www.redlotusmassage.com)? :( It would be extremely helpful if even just a few people would please take the time to visit it and offer some constructive criticism; your comments will help me create a better site and hopefully attract more clients to my brand-new practice!

Thanks,
Jamie

P.S. I noticed that a few other people posted websites here after me; I don't have time to visit them all now, but I promise to do so soon, since I'm happy to offer feedback in addition to receiving it!

This is the first time I've looked at this thread and I checked yours out. I think it's wonderful: pleasing to the eye, simple, not too busy, yet still has a lot of information. I think it's a very neat idea to have your client forms available online to speed up the new client process.

Ok Jamie, I checked out your site! :D

I really love the simplicity of it. As was stated, lots of info given, but it is to the point. I like that a lot. Your pages load quickly and the links to the other pages are right at the top and incorporated into the text. I like easy to navigate pages

One thing that struck me, was that on the home page it says you do Swedish (relaxation) massage, cranio ect, but then on the services page it goes on to say that you incorporate other techniques into the massage as necessary. Now if I were a client looking for someone who could do that for me, I might not get past the first (home) page.

I also loved your descriptions and wording and learning about your pro-bono slots, and reduced fees for some people in the service industry - which is great! As a consumer, I love to support people like you! I get the feeling that your energy and personality is very positive and giving without being a doormat because of the careful limits you place around your giving - also very important!

I hope my comments were helpful to you :)

New website up and running!

http://www.myofascialresource.com/

I worked with Woody Haiken at The Growing Practice, who built the site, created the graphics, and held my hand through the transition from old site to new site. I would highly recommend him (and his rates are very reasonable). He is at http://www.thegrowingpractice.com/
