Grievance procedures

Below you will find the clauses that were agreed to in order for an individual to become a member of BWO.
While the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable.

You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned (and your service provider being informed). The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. You agree that the webmaster, administrator and moderators of this forum have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should they see fit. As a user you agree to any information you have entered above being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent the webmaster, administrator and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.
If you find that you are in need of assistance due to becoming involved in a negative (harrassment, abusive, inaccurate, ect) situation, please follow the steps outlined below so that your situation can be handled appropriately.
  • Refrain from posting back at the situation. This is a message board and members are entitled to voice their opinions. If you continue posting back at the situation, you will essentially fuel the fire.
  • Use the PM (private message) function and PM the Section Moderator for the section where the negative situation is occuring.
The PM function will allow you to message the Moderator privately.
The Moderator will message you back as soon as they are able.
If you are unsure how to use the PM function please follow this link for instructions.

Please do not post your grievances on the main board. This is not useful for anyone.
  • Please remember when messaging the Moderators or Administration, that these individuals are volunteering their time and should not be the target of any negativity.
They will be able to assist you with the situation, but you must remain patient while waiting for a reply.
If you would rather take the situation into your own hands, be aware that your personality and/or business practices will be coming across clearly through your writing.

If you do not want yourself or your business to be looked upon poorly then please conduct yourself in a professional manner. While it is never easy to log onto a site and discover criticism about yourself or your business, it is important to refrain from personal attacks and/or legal threats. These responses rarely have the desired effect of curtailing the criticism and more often than not they will send the thread spiraling into an even worse barrage against you and your business. The better you deal with the situation, the better the members will perceive you. You are the only one who can repair your reputation.

If you are receiving inappropriate soliciations, spam, ect. please contact any Moderator for assistance.
