Adding a link to your post is a helpful and invaluable thing to know.
Here is how to add a link to an already existing thread.
You will first need to be in the thread you want to link to (this is easier if you can pull up two screens-one for the thread with the link and one for the screen your are going to paste the link to)
You will need to copy the link's address. The address is located in the address line at the top of your internet screen.
You need to right click on that address (make sure the whole thing is highlighted) and then choose copy. This will copy that link.
Once you have decided where you want to add your link, you will need to make sure your cursor is right where you want the link to go. Then you will right click again and choose paste.
The link will only come up as an active link in the preview page or after you have posted.

If you want to post a link to a website the directions are very similar. You need to copy the address to the website and paste it where you want it to go.

In the new version of the board the link should automatically be active once posted.
If you have trouble with that happening you will need to use the URL Tag. The first one on the right.
Click on the URL button twice and you will get (no astericks will appear, they are here to deactivate the tag) [url*][/url*].
You will need to paste your website address in between the two middle brackets. Like this: [url*]The website address[/url*].
Your address should then come up as an active link. You could also paste or type the link first, highlight it and then click on the URL button.
You can also add links to your posts at BWOL and in your PM messages to other members.
Be helpful and post those links!
