LinkedIn Myofascial Release Therapist Group

Postby WaltFritz on Wed Jun 09, 2010 4:31 am

I have started a special group for Myofascial Release therapists on LinkedIn, the business social networking site. This is another way to increase your visibility to the public with a LinkedIn listing for you and your practice. You will also get a chance to meet other MFR therapists across the country. Setting up a LinkedIn account is easy and you can download your current contact list to keep in touch with existing clients, etc, letting them know what is new with you and your practice.

I have been a advocate of regular client newsletters as a means to maintain your visibility to the public. LinkedIn is an easy way to accomplish this, as you can post updates that will instantly spread via email updates to all those contacts you keep, as well as to the LinkedIn MFR group.

Give it a look at http://www.linkedin.com/groups?home=&gid=3081613&trk=anet_ug_hm.

Not gonna join right now, as neither of us is technically trained as a MFR therapist. Hubby's had some training- mostly during the horse massage class he took a few years ago (the one that got us started on this wonderful journey!), as well as an "introductory" course offered as CE; but while we both do utelize some MFR techniques in most of our sessions, neither of us claims to be "certified". It's an exciting concept, though, Walt! I am very much looking forward to taking some real, solid "hands-on" courses for MFR!

Hey Walt,

I am interested in joining this group, but need to update my page first.

Also, is it just for therapists trained in specific types of MFR, or would it be open to anyone who has a practice that is largely devoted to fascial work?

Thanks.

No rules that I know of, and since I formed the group...no rules! Seriously, MFR is a loose term to begin with, although many try to narrow it down to a specific training. So welcome to the Fascial Therapists Group.

I won't be joining right now, but thank you so much for continuing to provide us with the up-to-date MFR info. Every bit is useful! :)
