Hey all,

I've begun doing a lot more chair massage. As a result, I've noticed my elbows getting really dry. How do you guys cope with the roughness of people's clothing constantly coming in direct contact with your hands, forearms, elbows, etc.?

I use the Magic Massager Cloth.


I don't do chair massage that often, so I can't say if in the long term that it would help with rough skin on the elbows, but I believe it would help.

Mostly the same things that work with hands.
Salt glows/sugar scrubs or other methods to exfoliate the dead skin.
(You can always work o it with a pumice stone or foot file.
Then apply a rich cream, and possibly follow up with a paraffin dip.

I do a lot of chair massage. Summer clothing is easier on the elbows and forearms. It's that darn wool in the winter--all the sweaters... I try to avoid doing too much gliding on rough fabric with my skin. Some fabrics seem to just suck the moisture right out of the skin.
If I do glide, I use the skin surfaces that are not as easily irritated.
I agree with maestra regarding smoothing the rough skin--exfoliate. I often use one of the foot tools that looks like sandpaper on a stick (I think it's intended for use on the heels), then rinse with warm water and apply a cream.
Do something wonderful, people may imitate it.
